Anxiously awaiting the release of Skitch

by Shane on 2007/06/14

Update from Colin Devroe at 11:34 EST: plasq is planning a full scale release of Skitch in a matter of hours.

I’ve been looking forward to Skitch for months now since I saw a video of it demoed back in January 2007 at MacWorld in San Francisco.

I am constantly firing up Photoshop or Fireworks to do little image tweaks or manipulations. Skitch Looks to be the answer to 95% of my image manipulation needs.

In the mean time, here’s a 3 minute video that highlights all the amazing features of Skitch.

PS: It’s Mac only. Sorry Windoze. All the cool stuff is on Mac.

PSS: Thanks to my bud, Colin Devroe, for keeping me updated on Skitch and sending me an invite to the mySkitch private beta earlier today!

You are more than welcome “Not-so-Secret Cameraman”! :)

Shane: Something also to keep in mind is that Skitch will not always be Mac-only! :)

Thanks for the info, Colin. But, hey, why wait for the Windows version? I think people should get a Mac right now and start enjoying the good life today.

Shane: Absolutely! I’m fairly certain that the Windows version of Skitch won’t be as nice as the Mac version anyway.
