ʻAwapuhi Ginger Series
Published: July 26, 2010
ʻAwapuhi: GingerPink and Red Ginger, known in Hawaii as the ʻAwapuhi flower, grows in many places on the cooler, eastern shores of the islands. It’s dense, wax-like flowers last for many days and are often seen in landscapes and fresh flower arrangements. Photographs from this series are taken in my backyard garden.
